I am having it.
My doctor told me that all pregnant women should test for it with two exceptions. The ones that have tested positive with their first child as they will be automaticly treated. And those whos urine showed the presence of the bacteria during pregnancy.

So,I will be,better safe than sorry,right?

You basicly just have to ask your practitioner. It's a simple procedure. He will take a swab from your vagina and rectum and then send it off ot a lab.
It happens between 35-37 weeks...

No big deal...

Sam - ye its that one. I think I'll ask my m/w when I see her next. I think I'd like it but I think I remember someone saying they dont do it as standard.

Cheers Amy.
