I'm Currently Feeling: | Not had any internal exams or internal scans. Thankfully. Although I keep making the effort to have a shower and tidy up down there before every appointment just in case... lol.
I have heard that they can cause a little bit of bleeding afterwears thou. But if there is more and you are worried ring the NHS helpline (if you are in the UK) or your MW. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I agree that perhaps you should call your midwife. It could very well be nothing but it's better to advise your midwife. |

| With all the increased blood flow down there it is VERY easy to nick a blood vessel. I'm sure that's all it is, try not to worry too much.
My husband and I did the deed last night and the same thing happened to me, it has stopped now. As long as you are not having any kind of pain along with it I think baby is just fine. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Give them a call but I think its pretty much the same response as I'd have to people spotting after sex - there's a lot of delicate and hard working vessels down there right now so I wouldnt worry too much.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Me too Suzan.....when I went to A&E last week they wanted to give me an internal to check I wasn't in labour...I knew I wasn't but anyway I started crying and the doctor was shocked and said that my whole face changed when he said that and then he said that actually it wasn't really really necessary as he didn't think I was in labour so he didn't do one (!) (Plus my mum said that you shouldnt really have internals in pregnancy as it allows for infection....thats how she got one with my sister and it was awful)....I was shaking and crying!! I even cry and get really bad when I have a smear.....the last smear I had I took my mum...!! I'm 25!! The more I hate it the more of a fear it becomes and just the thought of having one really upsets me so I know how you feel.
God knows how I am going to have a baby!! I'm hoping it will toughen me up! |
