Make sure you tell them by the end of the 25th week what date you want to go on maternity leave. It has to be in writing and you have to include: MAT1B Certificate, Due date and date you intend to start maternity leave.
It's also worth knowing that if you decide to change the date you legally have to tell them 28 days before that date or they have the right not to accept the date change.
I got made redundant today so been reading up in what the hell I am supposed to do now! Can't imagine it will go down well turning up at interviews with le bump!

Yeah forget it if anyone thinks you will take your ML 4 months before. Sitting round for that long would make me crazy. They cant tell you when to go on ML anyway can they, its your choice is it not?
Thanks girls .... ive spent all afternoon telling my boos how she stood me up on friday and that only booked her because i really needed some help ... i think thats done it lol.
He probably wont even bother now he knows she cant even be a reliable temp!!
