I'm Currently Feeling: | Alcohol? So i did well and didnt drink one single drop of alcohol in my first trimester which reaaaally deserves a gold star seeings as im a bottle of wine a night in front of the tv kinda girl
Once you move into second trimester is it more "ok" to have the odd drink?
Ive been dying for a nice glass of lindemans chardonnay for about a week now and its in the wine rack eyeing my up!!
Maybe a spritzer would be ok? What do you girls think about drinking?
Is the odd one or two ok or would you still say try to avoid it? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | The guideline amount for pregnancy is the equivalent to half a bottle of WKD/alcopop. I think that's roughly the same as a glass of wine units wise. I could be wrong, I haven't drank at all since I've been pregnant because I can't just have a little bit! When I drink I have to drink to get drunk, shameful I know, so I decided it was best to leave it |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I am sat here with a glass of red wine.......
I feel like shit so I decided to treat myself. Since I made the 2nd tri I've had one every 2/3 weeks. Just one and with plenty of sparkling water at the same time.
I dont think an odd one ever so often is a problem - some may disagree.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Ps - and so I'm not tempted I bought one of those little bottles like you get in the pub so when you've had it there is no temptation to have another glass.

I'm Currently Feeling: | I had my sister in laws 21st and my brothers engagement party both in the first tri at which I had 1 glass of red wine.
Since then I've probably had 3 or 4 other occasions where I've had a glass of wine.
I'd say in the 6 months I've been pregnant I've probably had a glass or 2 a month. When I first found out I was pregnant as far as I was aware (and advised by my midwife) 1 or 2 units a week were the advised limit and its only after I became pregnant the government have advised not to drink at all. My OH read the front page news article in the Telegraph regarding the government change and it wasn't based on any new medical findings just on oppinion.
Some people might think this is wrong but its what I have done. If I was you I'd enjoy a spritzer!

Even if he was outside and came and sat next to you after you are still passively smoking. Smoking/passive smoking has been scientifically proven and documented to cause problems. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I read there's no actual scientific proof that alcohol affects a baby in any way. But I just preferred to be safe than sorry. I'm sure a glass once in a while would be fine |

That is actually a good idea!! You know normally you just sit the bottle on the table and pour away until you see the bottom of the bottle.
I havent touched one drop for 15 weeks so a spritzer wont hurt, i deserve a treat now and then |
