I'm Currently Feeling: 


That's great and really a very low risk!

In the end I turned them down. If I got a risk higher than that for my age then I would be anxious about it. They offer amnio here is if your risk comes back higher than 1 in 250, but there's a 1 in 100 chance of miscarriage with amnio, so that means it you were borderline on the risk for Down's you would have a greater chance of losing the baby than of the baby having Down's. That just doesn't add up to me!

But I will have it in the back of my mind so I just hope our baby will be fine.

that is exactly the reason i declined!! also it wouldnt bother me if i had a child with downes both my brother and my OH brother have disabilities so wouldnt be out of the ordinarry for us if you know how i mean!

good news, its a big relief isnt it! they never told me the numbers in the letter they sent but i found it says on my antenatal notes
