Please tell me to calm down.....

Hi gals

i know im just being silly and it is totally unlike me to stress out, but decided this morning to have a listen on the doppler. Only did this couple days ago and all was fine, but had a wierd dream and woke up desperate to hear babes.

well i have tried 3 times and all i can get is the placenta wooshing around, lots of bubbles and sounds like tapping on a microphone, but cant get heartbeat, find mine sometimes but not babes

i know, i know, i know im being daft, OH says he is going to throw the bloody doppler in the bin if it makes me cry like this!!! its just i have never had a problem finding it?

please tell me to shut up and calm down, and i worrying for no reason?

You need to try really low down on or below your knicker line and keep moving around really slowly. Also lay really flat preferably with your legs on the floor and lay back on the bed. Hope you find it soon hun. xx

This is why I never bought one.... MW's dont advise it as it can get ladies so worked up!!! Remember you are just 14 weeks and baby is still very small!!

It took doc about 10 mins on me when I was 19 mins!! And thats a doc!!

Calm down drink some water and try again really low down!! If still no joy phone your MW!

CALM DOWN

exactly same reason i didn't buy one. my midwife said it is not advisable as it will only stress you out if no heartbeat is found.

last week a CONSULTANT couldn't find my beanies heartbeat - i was pooing myself but she found it eventually, but it was very faint. the doctor doesn't have a midwives skill!

try not worry - baby has probably moved and hiding out!

Def try low down as early on thats where i got most luck with LO's heartbeat. But your MW will be able to reassure you. I have dreams where i wake up and just feel like i should listen to baby, we're weirdos aren't we...haha. Good luck.xx

lesson learnt going to leave the doppler alone and have faith.
