I get really confused with all this! Do we have to buy a moses basket and a cot? Sorry to sound really stupid!!!

your baby will let u know when he/she doesnt want to be in moses basket anymore. I think callum was only 1-2 months old when he went in his cot. He hated the moses basket and really wouldnt settle in it. He was also quite long so wouldnt of stayed in it for long anyway.

I presumed that you would coz they baby would be to small for a cot to begin with. Very confusing I know x

Yeah depends on wrigglyness and size of baby. I'll prob use crib at night in our room and the cot during the day to get them used to the nursery. My sister had her little boy in his cot sleeping all night at 6 weeks, but she was either very strict or very lucky (perhaps a bit of both!).

i was advised that it depends on the baby itself. On average moses baskets last till about 3 months and cribs 6-9. In practice i've not a clue just going off the adviser in mothercare!
