I'm Currently Feeling: | leg cramps I mean ow! is anyone else getting these I'm waking up 3 or 4 times a night in agong with like cramp in my calves. I got told my a biology teacher that its due to stopping blood circulation in a vein when i sleep and when the tightness and pain lingers beyond the intital agonising pain thats when i've slept for so long like that that i've bruised the vein!! Thing is I've tried sleeping in like every possible position and It doesnt seem to matter sometimes i sleep in a position and its fine the next time it hurts again. It can be one leg or both at the same time. so... Is anyone else getting this and if so have you thought of a way to stop it? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Leg cramps are sooooo painful, I used to get them, and they made me cry
I know that when you are actually having one, you need to pull the end of your foot back, to release the contraction, but this is really painful in itself.
Try this.....
Stretch and massage your legs before going to sleep...
Increase your intake of Potassium.. Clacium.. and VitB6... These are said to be deficiencies in people who suffer cramps...
I hope you find a solution |

| I was getting a couple of these a night. Then I started eating a bowl of Cheerios and a banana for breakfast every morning and the cramps stopped after about a week. Something about the potassium.
I hope this helps honey- I know how much they suck. x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Oh yeah potassium deficiencies will do that to you! They're so, so painful. I haven't really found a way to deal with it except sweat it out and cry hah |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Like the others say it´s a potassium lack. I started eating a banana before I go to bed (cos they´re full of potassium). It worked until last night when I woke up with bad cramp in my right leg! But I had been stood up for a long time yesterday so I think that had something to do with it as well. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | i've been getting bad cramps too but not just in my legs, mainly in my back. they are so painful! i snuggle up with a hot water bottle every night and my husband rubs my aching muscles whenever i bully him into it lol.
with the leg cramps, whatever you do, DON'T POINT YOUR TOES!! it makes them worse lol. arch your toes back towards you to stretch the muscles out. i find getting out of bed and squatting down balancing on the balls of my feet helps get rid of the cramps really fast. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Apparantely eating lots of bananas help - something to do with the potassium levels in your body.
I hope you feel better soon.
