Catching up

Hello everyone. How are you all today? Sorry I've been quiet for almost a week, I've been really busy with work and also had some holiday time when I refused to even put the computer on! Thought I'd drop you all a line and let you know some of my news.

Got a bunch of new baby things. My step-MIL (I ahve two MILs!) visited and brought us some cute cardis she'd knitted and a tiny yellow hat, it's adorable! I've seen the cot and other nursery furtniture. My Mum bought it all second hand for my brother's baby (they're visiting from Oz in the summer) and we'll get it after the summer. The stuff's quite plain but nice and I think I'll revarnish it to make it all shiny and fancy!

Got load of maternity trousers at last (hooray for Mothercare sales!). Got enough to see me through now, assuming my bump doesn't become weird and they don't fit anymore! Don't need any new tops yet, but my bump is definitely getting more noticeable and might even soon be past the "fat or pregnant" stage. It helps that it's all at the front!

I went to my first antenatal class on Wed - aquanatal - and loved it! I always loved swimming but just hadn't been in forever. I get to go every week now and miss a morning of work paid. Hooray! But it was a real workout after doing nothing at all for three months! Ever since I've been pulling my muscles when I sneeze and having all kinds of funny twinges. I hope I'm due another growth spurt.

And finally, I've got my 16 week MW appointment tomorrow. Sadly DH has to be at work so it's just me but I'm really hoping she will listen to the heart. I hope my bean is well!

So that's me. I'm still ploughing through hundreds of threads. Hope you guys are all doing well too.

Anyone else been to antenatal classes yet? What kinds and have they been helpful?

Yeah I hadn't worn mine in over a year and wasn't sure it'd fit. My new size F boobs are verging on indecent though as it was never very roomy! shows off my small bump nicely though!

Aquanatal was loads of fun though and it's ace I go during work. Never been to an exercise class before. I didn't think I could until 16 weeks or something but I had a day off so I rang up and was told from 12 so that was good. You should check out what's available. It's not free but no more than paying for a swim and you get tea and biscuits and a natter too!

I've ordered two new bras in F, both cheap in a sale, but I don't know when I'll get them and fear I'll be a G by then!

There are some nice maternity swimsuits/tankinis in Morthercare and they've a sale on at the mo. Though I don't know how they might look over an early bump! lol

of course you do!
I'm ok thanks. I've had a resurgence of the morning sickness - it came back really strong and I feel quite exhausted. Feeling a bit worried all round really.

Peanutbean - have you felt any movement yet?
And are you going to get/do you have a doppler?

I'm finding this in between stage really hard.
