Question

Hair Dye

Hiya all! Hope you are all good.

I was just wondering if anyone else is having problems colouring thier hair during pregnancy?

I've been to the hairdressers 3 times for a cut and colour and the colour has never turned out as it should, my hairdresser says it's something to do with pregnancy hormones and how they can change the pigment in your hair.

Don't get me wrong my hair didn't turn out green or anything! Just subtle changes alot of red colour ending up in my hair, I went yesterday to get blonde highlights and they came out coppery, luckily I like it but god!!! I'm worried that one day it will go green!

Ahh, I'm glad this is not only me! I tried to dye my hair the other day, it was supposed to be honey blonde, but it turned out more like patchy orange, LOL. I think it's partly to do with the fact that I was half asleep when I did it and didn't put the stuff evenly on my hair, but that doesn't explain why the colour came out weird, hehe. It doesn't look so bad but even so I'm planning a trip to the hairdressers soon to get something else done with it!

My hairdresser told me not to even bother trying to dye my hair right now ... certain parts of my head dont like taking colour on a good day.

I'm just going to hang tight and wait until LO arrives to get some new hair colour, failing that ill just stick my extensions in lol.

I don't bother with dying my hair during pregnancy,I mean I just normally dye it in chestnut color and my natural is brown so I don't have to urgently re-dye it when it grows a bit.

But I do refresh my highlights....

I guess I'll have to wait till bubs is born to do it right.......*sighs*
