| Did it take u longer than 9 months to get pregnant? Hey my lovely bumpy ladies! Am visiting from TTC section. I think got me today (dat's OK, have holybops next week so means I can drink lots of cocktails!) but it means we've reached the 9-month milestone. Blood tests reveal I'm Oing and hubby's sperm tests came back fine. Won't get further tests until we reach the year milestone.
Anyways, any gals out there who tried more than 9 months? If so, why'd you think / know it took you that long to fall PG? And do you think you did something different that made u eventually fall PG?
Thanks gals. xx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi there, I've been lucky in many respects because it hasn't taken me long to fall pg - it's keeping them that I have struggled with!!!
But my friend tried for over 12 months to conceive, and like you she was told she was ovulating and OH spermies were ok. She has no idea why they couldn't do it only that when it came to the 12 month milestone, she had decided not to go for tests and find out possible bad news, so they gave up the dream of having children...... and in typical murpheys law style they caught on month 14!!!! How and why are a mystery, we can only hazzard a guess that it was the emotional and psychological 'release' of them reaching the decision to 'give up'???? It is something I've heard a lot.
BUT it's the old catch 22 of how can you relax over something you want so much.... |

| It took us 15 months to conceive. A couple of months before we'd had all the tests and found out there was nothing wrong. We conceived in Jan which is our birthday month and so we were quite drunk for a lot of it! We also went away for a really nice spa weekend which is when we think it might have happened But who knows - maybe there is just someone 'up there' who makes the decisions as to when we get lucky..... Good luck - hope it happens for you soon xx | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I was very lucky. It took me 3 months first time and 2 second.
I know they say relax but I found just 2/3 months incredibly stressfull and telling couples TTC to relax is like telling a turkey not to worry about about christmas.
I wish I knew what the secret was. I promise you I'd tell you and all the other lovely girls trying straight away.
x
Not that I'm comparing you to a turkey hun!! |

| It took us 12 months - the only thing that I did the month we were lucky was relax more! Easier said than done, but def worth it! I actually had reflexology for a few sessions which helped me to relax - I can highly recommend it! Good luck, here's hoping you get your BFP soon! xxx |

| We wernt actually 'trying' for a baby although we knew we would both be happy if one came along.. but we were having unprotected sex for 3years!! but although we wernt 'trying' i did start to wonder why i hadnt fallen pregnant in such along time and thought something was up but was to scared to ask a doctor or the thought of finding out badnews. So then i got it into my head it was never going to happen.. then it did!! |
