well on wednesday we had our 20wk scan (well, i was actually 21+1wks!) we went in and the sonographer asked if we wanted to know the sex, we had already decided that we did (we found out with our son too) as we think it gives us more time to prepare and see baby as a individual rather than just a baby lol! anyways... she has a look down their, it pushes it knees up into its chest and crosses its legs - so she said she would do the checks, which would take about 15minutes and then go back to it. anyways, doing the checks, baby seems to stretch out and relax, so she then goes down bottom end, again baby curls up and crosses legs - stubborn thing! the sonographer replied 'i did think it was one thing but now im thinking its the other, and unless i get a clear view and know for sure im not alloed tell you im afraid!' i thought to myself 'its not as if you have many choices!!' lol!

anyways, we havent a clue what bump is! i came out and asked kev how he feels about not knowing and he said 'i suppose its one of them things but its a shame' to which i replied 'im gutted!'. luckily we have to have another scan at 28wks (7th august) which isnt too long away i suppose so hopefully baby wont be too shy to show off its bits next time round!!

Anybody elses babys been little monkeys on the scans? id just love some psychic to be able to tell us lol! my friend who is into witchcraft and all that shes done a thing (i dont actually know what they do) but to her it came out as a boy, and shes never been wrong - so far! Time will tell i suppose!

Hiya, I had my 20wk scan yesterday. Im 21wks+ 6days. This was the 2nd one as i had one at 19wks but due to awkward fetal lie they couldnt complete scan. Both times they have not been able to tell the sex! I am gutted as already have a daughter and would love a boy. Its healthy though so thats the main thing! My boyfriend had a psychic reading and they told him boy. I am now going to pay for a gender scan and find out. Hope u have better luck next time.

Im so hoping this doesnt happen to me! My boyf said we will let the baby decide if we find out so if he/she has their legs crossed thats it, no private scans to check!

Hopefully you will be able to find out at your next scan!

Oh no! Thats a shame!! Glad your scan went well otherwise though. I have my scan next week and don't want to know the sex - I bet it's lying there legs a kimbo - for all the world to see! Sod's law!!!

haha!! well thats how ethan was, and they were like, thats definately a boy - but to be honest, i didnt have a clue how they could tell as i couldnt make anything out!! with this one, i was adament i saw boy bits lol! but knowing me it was his cord! good luck with your scan hun, and i hope your baby keeps its legs crossed lol!

I am desperate to find out if baby is healthy but also desperate to find out the sex aswell. We haven't told our son yet, and would love to tell him that he is having a brother or sister. I've got a horrible feeling this one will have its legs crossed! OH has said we can go for private scan if we can't find out.

i was dredding this.....but lukily it was a good boy lol although the other things they wanted to check he wud be stubborn x x x
