I'm Currently Feeling: | I will look into this tomorow at work. I work with a nurse who specialized in delivery. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I hope you find something that you can have. In a way, it's a good thing that you had the anesthetic and know about the reaction you get from it, as I can't imagine how awful it would be to be given something you're allergic to in the middle of labour x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | All types of chemical pain relief are anaesthetic so it is presumably cetain kinds of chemicals that you are allergic to. It sounds like you need to know exactly what you've been given on these different occasions when you've had a reaction and let your MW/Doc know so they can see what alternatives are available.
I'm always seeing these TENS machine things that are electrical impluses though so that might work for you and at least be something if you're allergic to everything! They can't be used in a birthing pool though and that in itself might help with the pain. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I was going to say that you would be fine with an epidural, but you've stumped me now you've said you can't have local. Not being able specify what the allergy is could make things very difficult. My job is an anaesthetic practitioner, but I have to say I'm not sure what would happen. Sorry to be no help, but will discuss it with my consultants at work on Monday. Tough one!!
Good luck though hun, hope they come up with an answer for you x x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I would try accupuncture as well! And get yourself into a birthing pool. That is what I'd be doing!!
I hope you can have painkillers though!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | i think an epi will be totally out of the question, meptid and pethadine are narcotic drugs, as apposed to aneathesia - they work by changing the way you feel about the pain, (making you not care) rather than taking it away. I reckon you might be allowed the narcotics! But, you wont be able to use it with a birthing pool. |
