although i'm still not due for another 3 months, the closer i get the more scared i get about the birth. i'm terrified of the pain, what could go wrong, how long i will be in labour for, all sorts. when i think about going into labour, i get so scared and nervous that i begin to shake!

is anyone else really starting to get scared?

i am afraid in terms of something awful happening to my baby. in terms of myself feeling pain i am not too bothered. i don't fear the actual birth itself -this may change though!

Not at the moment. I'm being quite laid back about it. I'm more excited because I'll get to meet baba at last!

I'm not scared of the pain and stuff like that...but I am scared about after. Like if I tear or something. I think I'm going to be pretty much traumatized if I tear, to tell you the truth. Just a mental thing I've got going on.

Not scared at all but that isn't to say nearer the time that might change.....!!

I guess baby has to come out so there is no point in getting het up about it and I think the key is to not to listen to other peoples birth stories as I have a friend who told me the worst birth story ever but still I think everyone is different and you only the hear the bad ones and not the good ones.

You are with professionals that deliver babies every day so are in the best capable hands and with your loved one with you in so many hours it will all be over and completely worth it.

Not at the moment, I am trying not to think about it! I will worry about it when it gets nearer the time I am sure

Funnily enough I was actually talking to my mum about this at the weekend. She asked me if I was scared and in all honesty I'm not, I'm quite looking forward to it in fact. I'm not wierd I just want to know what it feels like because I've been told so many different things. As far as this pregnancy goes I'm trying to look at everything in a positive light, I have a completely open mind because I know at the end of it I'm going to have a precious bundle of love and it will be worth every second

To be honest ive got myself so wrapped up in all the lovely baby stuff i have pushed it to the back of my mind!! im secretly hoping ill have one of those labours that only last for an hour or so!! (but we live in hope)

Knowing this time round what it'll be like is a bit scary but i know once ur going through it it all happens very quickly and u have ur beautiful baby at the end of it!! x

I guess I'm most scared of being scared - if that makes any sense? Fear scares me more than pain does - I wanna be strong.

Having said that, I don't think about it too much. I don't wanna spend my pregnany worrying - I want to enjoy the excitement of it. After all Baby's gotta come out whether I'm worrying or not - right?
