Hi Girls, I wonder if you can help.

I have just recieved my first consulant appointment through the post for the 29th July.

Can you tell me what this is for and what happens at this appointment I thought it was a bit to early to see a consultant?

Also is this appointment the one when you recieve your white notes.

I had to see a consultant for my weight and bmi, but they have now deemed that i do not have to carry on seeing her as it's not that excessive!!

I really dont know they have just send an appointment throught the post when i called they said its just routine but i just wondered what its for! lol

Ring your m/w and ask her - different areas have different procedures.

Mine was for my BMI also but it's 2 weeks before I'm due so i don't think they are that concerned about it, give your MW a phone xxx

I have to see a consultant when I go for my next scan, but thats because my son was born 7 weeks premature.
I would ring your midwife too hun and ask why.
