I had to ring my local primary care trust and be put on the waiting list. Took quite a while to get a dentist though and quite a lot of phoning and nagging. Make sure u tell them your pregnant.

Hey, been off the forum for days so you may have sorted this out already but in case not I've had the same problem as we moved house not that long ago. I rang the local dentist who gave me the number for the helpline. They put me on the waiting list (probably about 6 months, baby will be born by then!) and added my DH and the baby too. They also said that if I need treatment in the meantime then they will always give an emergency appointment but it could be anywhere almost! Ring your PCT or dentist and they'll sort you out.

NHS direct will tell you which dentists in your area are taking NHS patients.

In Portsmouth (where I live) there is always one place in the city taking NHS though they do take it in turns. And as everyone else says - "NHS direct" is the easiest way to find out who it is.
