Stress and a horrible horrible woman

I apologise for this post now but i really gotta let it out to you girls who will hopefully understand before i go mad.

Me and dp had a girly trip to a concert the other night and it was soo nice just to spend a bit of time together that wasn't devoted to little one, no sorting out the house, no baby shopping (ok well we did nip into the large next to have a nosey...i am female after all) but you know what i mean? Just a break for a few hours by ourselves. we had a lovely night altho little one really didn't appreciate the loud music and kicked me most the way through it!

Then, we got a train home. It's safe to say that was the worst train ride i've had in my life. We knew it was going to be busier than normal but it was mayhem, just ridiculous. So we went down to the platform and dp suggested we worked our way down to the front before we get cramed in the middle trying to get on because obviously that could be a dangerous situation for me to be in. We made it through, apologised to everyone we went past and so on. Then we stood next to a middle aged woman with 2 younger girls and a young man. The middle aged woman started ranting to the younger girls about us pushing and how they'd been stood there a hour (which i doubt) when the young girl turned round and said i think she's pregnant though to wish she turned round and said to her 'i don't care if she is or not i'll push her in front of it when it comes'. The other young girl piped up about scoopin me out of the hole (as in the tracks) I mean is it just me or is that quite harsh?? I so didn't deserve it. She had no excuses as i could see, she didn't seem drunk, she was jus a normal middle aged, middle class lady. And we weren't that bothered about gettin on the train first we just didn't want to be in the middle of the crowd being pushed. She upset me for the rest of the night and yesterday and i'm still obv quite upset about it now. I hate it when people think bad of me and i can't beleive she would say such a thing.

Then we had to get the connecting train which was horrible on which me n dp got seperated. the train was so busy we had to stand up, dp was telling me to ask someone to get up for me but i said no. He then embarrased me by shoutin for gods sakes ask someone your 6 months pregnant, at which a nice man got up and stood the rest of the way for me. But no one on there had realised i was pregnant which made me feel bad too because i must just look fat as i've always thought.

I kno i shouldn't really get myself all worked up by this but it was such a horrible end to our lovely night when i got home all i wanted to do was curl up in bed and cry

Thanks for listening to me whine girls

Aww, hun, that woman was so rude, there was no reason for her behavior! I'm so sorry that you had such a negative experience, some people can just be nasty for no reason!

Oh that's really crap. I panic already about getting seats on busy commuter trains and I'm not even showing yet so there's reason for anyone to give up their seat. But that woman was really really horrid to you! I think I would've said something horrid back, she deserves it. You mustn't feel bad about yourself though, think you look fat or anything. People are ignorant and blind to anything that's not to do with them, especially on busy trains. They just won't have noticed. No excusing that woman though...

Aaaw hun

Don't let those ignorant people spoil your memory of an otherwise lovely evening with your DP.

As for the lady on the platform - what a b**ch!!

I think when everyone is in a bad mood on the train they just don't offer up their seat. I've found this a couple of times on busy commuter trains from London and am getting better at asking people to move. I don't think it's any reflection on your shape hun - all pregnant women are beautiful.
