I was recently with my daughter in a long line waiting to buy a cinema ticket. She is six months pregnant and we waited and stood and she admitted that she was a bit faint. I was intreagued to see another woman, no more pregnant than my daughter come in, walk directly to the front of the line saying "Excuse me I'm pregnant" and got served immediately. We just waited our turn. It left me wondering whether behaviour that I and my daughter thought was out of order and rude was simply appropriate and acceptable and that we were just old fashioned and stupid.
