Might be best to call the hospital and check. Many of them no longer require you to have a full bladder for a scan.
Good luck for the scan hun, hope all goes well, and hope you get some good pics! xx

I did drink lots but then I was told to go for a wee! I'd rather go with a full bladder and let it out than try and drink lots quickly!

I was asked to go in with a full bladder to start (apparently it gives them a better picture of the baby) but halfway through she sent me off to have a wee! Prob best to go with a full bladder hun - easier to empty it than re fill it!!

Hi there,
When I had mine I thought it was the same at the dating scan, but only to find out I didn't need to! Very uncomfortable.
I'm sure I was told (for later scans) as long as you've had something to drink you will be fine but i no everyone's different.
Good luck for your scan

Good luck at your scan hun

I did have a bit to drink beforehand (about half a small bottle of water), but didn't have a full bladder and all was fine . I took the rest of the water into the scan room with me just in case MW told me to drink more (but she didn't)

xx

It really seems to depend on where you are located, I had my 13 week and 20 week scan and didn't have a full bladder at either
