| Insensitive woman making me cry!
hi all,
Feeling down this afternoon - all because of one womens stupid comment.
I'm a student nurse and today I had to call in to pick up my maternity uniform. When I got there the lady in the sewing room said she'd have a look what they had in stock, she came back with 2 outfits and proceeded to tell me that one of them had someone elses name in but that she had lost her baby so I could have it!!! 
I couldnt believe how insensitive she was, here was I stood in front of her with my ickle baby bump and she was coming out with stuff like that. i just grabs the stuff and walked back to the car with tears in my eyes.
Please tell me its not hormones and that I am right to feel so hurt.

Its not just hormones, I would have felt hurt by a comment like that too. Try not to think about it

I'm Currently Feeling:  | You must try to be forgiving, people are naturally insensitive I think. Here's one to compare to:
My sister is a paediatric theatre nurse and she fairly often has to work on premature babies. While she was maybe 8 months they had a bad case where the baby died and one of the other nurses said "oh, it'll be about the same size as yours" to her! Fancy comparing her bump directly with a poor baby lost on the table! |
