well, we found out about 6 weeks ago that we are having a boy. this will be our 4th child but our 1st boy. and we can't agree on a name. the only name that he likes is Ethan. and i don't. and i like William, Garrett,Joshua, and Michael. he don't. his name is Joshua. i have no idea what to do. can anyone help?  | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling:  | Me and my OH have always looked at names separately and written down both girls and boys names and then compared. If we had any that were the same as each other then that is what we went for.
This time around my OH chose the boys name as we had about 3 or 4 that we both liked and I chose the girls name. They are Alexander and Rebecca.
Sometimes if you really can't agree it is best to compromise, for instance if you know you will have more children then let them pick a name for one and you pick a name for another one! Or each pick a first name and a middle name? We went for family names as middle names, mainly because it is a family tradition so it was a fairly easy decision.
I had a problem with my first son as we really didn't agree on a boys name and it was only at the last minute that we chose a name (Aaron).
This is a list of boys names that I like: Aaron, Joseph, Aiden, Anthony, Joshua, Zachary, Luke, James, Thomas.
I trawled for ages through websites and books to find loads of names.

I'm Currently Feeling:  | Ethan is a good name, not too common either. My boy (if i have a boy) is going to be called Miles Rhys. I had no choice on the boys name. OH has been set on it for years. I dont mind though coz i like it  |
