:( A&E trip

Well as you all know, I was at the labour ward the other day and got sent away with laxatives.

The pain came on again last night and this time was worse that it made me cry. My OH got me in the car and that was the last thing I remembered. Apparently I kept passing out, so my OH decided to take me to A&E, because obviously it was something more serious than needing the loo.

Turns out my gallbladder is inflamed which the doctor told me is one of the worst pains ever. And I have an irregular heartbeat that they want to keep an eye on.

My poor OH was frightened and thought I was losing the baby, when he saw me I was covered in tubes, a needle in my hand and hooked up to machines. I knew it wasn't anywhere near my baby.

I'm glad I know what it is that's wrong, but there is nothing they can do while I'm pregnant, they would normally x-ray. So looks like I'm going to have to suffer. But they told my OH to watch me until the pain eases when it happens as it could put pressure on my heart which isn't good if I have irregular beat.

Sorry for being so long!

Hi Pet, i totally know how you feel, i had to have my galbladder removed last year becasue it kept getting inflamed they said it was diseased!

they say you usually only have the symptoms if your fat, forty and fair. thats if its not hereditory!! also and fair and not exactley skinny, but only 26 and was 24 when i first started to get pains.

i fould that eating certain food brought it on, try and stick to very plain foods and hope you feel better soon.

The above poster said what I was going to say! I had my gallbladder out last year. Foods you need to avoid are fried and fatty foods, Your gallbladder filters the fat, less fat you eat, less attacks you will have,

Yeah my mum said that to me too. I tend to buy all low fat food as it is, but looks like I'll need to cut out alot of the stuff to make a difference.
