I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm really chuffed to hear you're doing better. I know you never get over it, but it gets easier We will be preggers together again!!!!
As for me taking it easy.... not the easiest thing to do with my 2 little devils.. but it's easier now that I'm officially off work, and I'm just waiting for my disabed badge to come in the post so I can shop properly again. I'm going to feel a bit cheeky parking right outside shops, but I can't wait .
Oh.. and no, no more leaks |

Sorry for the essay | Gosh you ARE gonna be a minnie when she comes!! Lucky you!!! Look out Posh Spice.....
IMO she is definitely better being the oldest in the year. There is masses of evidence that kids age has an enormous bearing on how well they do. As far as assessment goes, the month in which a child is born is as important as their gender (girls generally do better than boys) and their post code (i.e. their socio-economic background). I was born 28th August and although I did ok academically I didn't do as well as I could have. I also struggled socially at times as my friends were maturing way in front of me - my best mate was born 5th Sept so she was a year older than me and boy could I tell as we got older. There are obviously exceptions to the rule. Emily was a November baby and when she took the 11+ (we still have that system here) she ranked 75th from 1200 - I thought that was pretty impressive but there were 2 boys from her school who ranked in the top ten and they were both younger....
We started TTC with the school year in mind I must admit - that sounds a bit weird I know and I often wonder what I would have done if we had been trying for longer. I'm lucky it worked out for us but it wouldn't have been the end of the world if it hadn't.
The cut off is usually 1st September so if you have her on the 2nd the IMO that's perfect. |
