Coldsores


Hi

Have woke up today with not one but 4 coldsores, 2 on bottom lip and 2 on top.
I look such a mess. And to make it worst i have a wedding to go to tomorrow. !!

Argh !!!

Anyone got any quick fixes ?? xxxx

Can't remember what it's called but theres like a little sticker thing you can get from a chemist thats supposed to make the appearence better. Best to pop into boots and ask for something fast acting.

Sounds sore hun xx

Will pop in tomorrow morning to Boots and see what they suggest. they are horrible and will look worst once scabbed over ! yuk !!

You dont think the virus can spread to baby do you ?!?!?

Yeah,the little round stickers you put on the sore.It's transparent...I have no idea what's it called but I'm sure they'll tell you in the pharmacy...

It's called "compeed" I think. It's got no active ingredients and works by stopping it spreading and preventing the air getting at it - so it doesn't do the hideous scabbing over stage. It certainly makes them look better.

poor u you probably run down hun x

can you use Zovirax as that is the best stuff for coldsores - is typical though isn't it when you have a wedding or an event!

Compeed is brilliant stuff for coldsores but you should get Zovirax for today & then get Compeed for your wedding cuz you can put lippy over the top of it too!

Yikes, the only meds I know you can use for it are the topical ointments and those don't make them go away quickly

Compeed are brill! Its weird because I am an occasional coldsore sufferer and I havent had a single one since I fell pregnant *touches wood and whistles* and I've stopped taking my L-Lysine too......very strange.....
