I know I shouldnt have done it I looked on you tube to see what I had let myself in for I was a crying mess although really scary it was also really beautiful if you can handle it then do it its really interesting
Im trying to opt for a waterbirth and I wanted to see if all those ladies who had one were feeling calm and relaxed and I think the answer was no but Im gonna try and do it anyway
Me and my husband decided to go on a hunt for them the other night.
I got the idea into my head that I'd rather see what goes on instead of being afraid. We looked at everything from natural birth to c-sections, how they do an epidural. Pretty much everything.
I wasn't spooked at all. I was expecting to be a quivering mess on the couch, curled up sucking my thumb and rocking lol but I wasn't. We were actually both quite fascinated with it.
The only thing that made me cringe was seeing an episiotomy.

There are some really really nice waterborth ones on you tube. There is one someone posted a while ago about an 18 year old who had one and she did so well. Have another look and if it looks scary stop watching it! No point freaking yourself out!

I had a water birth with DS and it was the most amazing experience, it really does ease your pain. I was so proud that I gave birth naturally with no intervention or pain relief just Gas and Air. I would definately recommend it to anyone X

I've just watched that water birth video sitting at my desk at work (well, it's Friday!) and I've got tears streaming down my face! I've always wanted a water birth, and now I've got my heart set on it. It makes the whole experience look beautific, and I never thought I'd say that about labour!
