I'm Currently Feeling: | saw midwife yesterday & now im going to be worrying for the next week as she did my afp test , i really hope it comes back ok , if it came back high risk then i would have to consider a amino & i don,t really want one of them done if i can avoid it she said when you have amino done there is a one in 150 chance of mc , she did say if it came back high risk then someone would be in touch with in the next 3 days but does that count weekend to , im such a worrier in this pregnancy violet xx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Would you have the amnio? Just curious. Sounds like you would. I would be too afraid. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | That's why I didn't even have the initial test, so I wouldn't have to worry about high risk / low risk. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I think an other lady on here had the amnio the other day, and she didn't say anything about it hurting. I think it was Charlie07. I'd weigh up the odds, and say the test comes back 1 in 300 high risk and the amnio is 1 in 150 miscarry then I wouldn't have the amnio. Just a personal thought though. But good luck, and I'm sure it will be fine hon |

I'm Currently Feeling: | thanks gde they say if it comes back under 1 in 250 then thats classed as high risk , you see i have to have afp test when i was 20 i had this test done it come high risk went for scan found out that babys brain had not developed properly so i had to terminate him so if i had not of had this test i might not of found out , they blamed it on me not taking folic acid so thats why i always have the test now but i have had 3 kids since the termination & had afp test with all of them & its always come back normal so hopefully it will this time but i am that bit older now to . violet xx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Takes 2 weeks for results to come back here. You don't HAVE to have the amnio test if you don't want to. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Your lucky. I know someone who's in her 30's and she had to pay £300 to get her results early so she could get amnio done. Turned out her baby is fine though after she had it. |
