I'm Currently Feeling: | Aaagh - still not getting proper kicks! I am over 20 weeks now and am still not getting proper kicks! Off and on, my baby goes through periods of moving about a lot and then I get a couple of days where I don't feel much at all.
I have an anterior placenta and the sonographer said I might not feel movement as early as some women and they might not be as strong. Even though I have been told this, it doesn't stop me, as a natural worry wart, worrying over things.
I have a doppler and listen to baby's heart beat about twice a week (I got the doppler a couple of weeks ago), but am still hoping to get much more movement.
Are there any other anterior placenta girls out there? Also - for everyone - when you get movement, do you pretty much get it on and off all day and is it very noticeable? Or do you get periods where there is not much movement?

I'm Currently Feeling: | I don't have an anterior placenta and at 20 weeks I was just starting to feel my first movements, didn't feel proper kicks until closer to 24 weeks. Even now she seems to have days of hyper activity and than lazy days where she hardly moves (might be and probably is her position though ) |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thanks Vickie, that makes me feel a bit more reassured.
I can't wait until I get real boots in the ribs type kicks. I know - all you Third Trimester girls will be laughing at me when I say that! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hiya :wave
I have an anterior placenta too. I've been able to feel movement since 14 weeks, but I'm only just starting to feel proper jabs... and only at the top of my bump though, so it must be just above where the placenta is. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | 20 weeks is still kind of early for the forceful kicks. Your lil one will be saying hello a lot more often and a lot more forcefully by the time u hit 3rd tri. And by then you'll be wishing lil bub would quiet down a bit lol.
But not to worry hun, your lil one is still growing strong! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi Poppy,
I've got an anterior placenta also.
At 23 weeks I got a bit neurotic, this being my first, so I took myself off to get checked out, all was well with bambino, he was moving loads according to the printout monitor, I just couldn't feel it.
Even now I only feel small kicks, mainly bubbling sensations throughout the day. No specific times, usually when I'm sat still for a while I notice it more and for some reason ice cold water gets him moving around. Not suprising though I think it would get me moving too
Like you though I long for the day I'm getting a good boot from my baby |
