After a horrible dream about getting to the hospital in labour and being turned away I decided to phone the hospital today in connection with booking my bed.
I've had a few people telling me I MUST get it done early otherwise I won't get in. So I phoned them thinking I was runnign out of time. I spoke to the most wonderful lady at reception who told me I've got 4 more weeks but it's not so necessary for me to do it. It's more for peace of mind. They will always have a bed for me.
Then she put me through to the Maternity ward where I spoke to yet another lovely woman who explained it all to me and more. With my booking I can buy a package that will include all sorts of creams, lotions, cotton buds, maternity pads, linen savers. And it's really cheap. And with the package comes the free 3D scan
Which I can book when I book my bed!! In 3 weeks time!!!
Also my medical aid has a program for all pregnant women. I'll be receiving a package of goodies from them soon too. Dunno what's in it yet.
I love my hospital LOL. It's just the fact that I've had people scaring me and then I phone to have them reassure me that everything will go well. I feel better now
It also makes the reality kick in a bit more too. I'm booking a bed! Can't believe I'm here already!
