I'm Currently Feeling: | Midwife visit Hi girls,
I had my 25 week visit today but it wasn't my regular midwife as she was on holiday so straight off it wasn't good as i had wanted to tlk to her about my weight as i was 10 stone ten at the start and hubby weighed me on Sunday[can't see scales now] and i was 12 stone 6 so i am concerned as everyone keeps saying how massive i am anyway as soon as we started she said i should only have put on ten pounds up until now and once i got over that i told her what i thought i was and after she took the disgusted look of her face she said jump on the scales and i'll weigh you so i did and she said it was 76 kilos which converted is 11 stone 10 so then she says i'm fine nothing to worry about and just keep an eye on it as i will no doubt put on a stone from now till birth as that is the norm. so left feeling slightly bleurgh and went to local chemist and weighed myself and was 11 12 so as that is a lot closer to hers than mine i have to agree with her that maybe i haven't put as much on but kinda don't feel fulfilled so may make an appointment with my midwife as she will be able to tell the difference by looking at me as she knew me before. Hubby says i'm all bump and boobs and i aint put much on elsewhere but i feel like a whale although i can actually see my ankles today!must be because it's a little bit cooler anyway just had to rant a bit so thanks for listening will probably be all good tomorrow |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi Debs
Im sure you've got nothing to worry about, I'd only put on about half a stone up to 16 weeks but I weighed myself the other day and ive put on nearly 2 stone now and did panick myself! Hopefully you will get to see your own midwife next time you go and she will be able to put your mind at ease a bit more. Ive seen a different midwife every single time (5 appointments so far!) and i know i'll be seeing another again on friday as my midwife only works mon - thurs!! Its not nice because there is so much i want to ask but when i see different people all the time i chicken out and end up going away feeling no better!
Hope you feel better soon

I'm Currently Feeling: | Don't worry yourself over weight....
You are nurturing another human being inside you.
You should be happy, and healthy and eat without thinking about the weight.
We've all gained weight,I don't even think about what I'm gonna look like right before the birth.I know I'll be huge but thats ok! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Don't worry I'm the same! I gained no weight the first trimester, gained 10 pounds in about 4 weeks and haven't put on much since. But I still feel huge and my in-laws delight in calling me fat My weight gain has been pretty much in the same areas as you as well, most people can't even tell I'm pregnant when I'm sitting down and they are standing up! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Truthfully, I have gained 25 lbs. and I am 24 weeks. I haven't been eating much more than I did before being pregnancy, rarely eat much junk and have no cravings. Much of the weight gain could very well be water, as my doctor said during my 20 week visit. Goodness, by the end of this, I will be huge! (Judging from my other pregnancies, I know I will be.)
But I've seen often that doctors place so much emphasis on weight gain but don't say that much of it can definitely be water, etc. making the woman think badly of themselves.
I am sorry this happened to you! |

| Don't worry about your weight - it seems that everyone is different in how they put weight on.
I used to be 10 stone nothing and now I'm 11 stone nothing so a whole stone gained at 22 weeks! My hubby says exactly the same as yours: I'm short and my legs and bum are still a size 12 so I'm like a walking pair of boobs and tummy with a little head and legs sticking out My friend at work says I still look normal from the back and then she gets a shock when I turn round
Pregnant women are always beautiful - what could be more so than nurturing a new life?
If your MW was moody then that's her problem hun |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Some M/Ws make my blood boil. Like Leanne said, they don't ever say to you that it's water and the placenta and things that make you put on weight, they always seem to imply that we've been sitting eating donuts and pies by the KFC bucket load!
We've got a little life forming inside of us, and as long as we're healthy and baba is healthy it shouldn't matter to other people what we gain. We're all glowing and beautiful!
