Hello Ladies

I am totally sat on the fence regarding whether I should find out the sex or not. My partner wants to know and my mum and part of me doesnt want to know.

What would you do???

The only difference I feel is the colour of prams, clothes etc.... or are there other advantages.

I am decorating the nursery pastels colours orange, green and blue so fit for both and got bedding to match...

Please help me decide....

I know when i went my mum and dad didnt want me to find out neither did my in-laws but at the end of day i thought its my choice and my OH wanted to know so we went for it and im glad we did.

A few people have suggested previously, that you could get the sonographer to write it on a piece of paper and seal it in an envelope. This will give you a bit more time to think about it, and you can find out at your leisure. You will also not end up in the situation where you regret not finding it out while you had the opportunity.

I think this one is such a personal choice!!

For DH and I we really want to know, not just for clothes / nursery etc... but also because we can start calling bubba by his / her name and I think that will help us to bond with bubba before they are born, but this is just what we feel

Good luck with your scan. Dh and i didn't want to find out but our little man wasn't shy. Refusing to buy anything blue though just in case.

Many thanks ladies.... I think I am going to want to find out come this time tomorrow.. might ask them to tell me when mum as left the room as she is coming with me tomorrow but suppose mum will see on the screen won't she!!!

It's a tough choice to make! Some poeple say it helps you to bond more. And I've heard that if you want a particular sex it's good to find out so you're not disappointed at the birth! Handy for the Next sale too!

To me, the surprise and feeling happened at conception. This is when the baby is conceived, this is when it is the surprise of boy or girl.

So im definately finding out the sex as soon as I can. I want to be able to tell people if its a boy or girl, choose a name and decorate accordingly.

Birth will still be an amazing experience, the feeling will happen because the baby is entering the world, breathing air for the first time, opening its eyes, being seen for the first time.

That is how I feel anyways.
