Hi all

I've not had chance to get on the forum much over the last 2 weeks but I have been thinking of you all.

Well I have just been for my latest scan, I will be, according to the doc, 22 weeks on Thursday but I still say 21 weeks on Friday!! LOL.

Anyway, doc says everything is fine with my blood test results, my blood pressure has dropped, REALLY dropped ...... 85/40, he asked how I felt and I said I was feeling better than ever!!!

I have put on 1kg since my last visit a month ago!!!! That's alot isn't it????

Anyway, the last scan, doc told us it MIGHT be a girl which wasn't much use to us. Anyway, he has now told us that it is 99% that we are having a GIRL!!!!! She was sucking he thumb (me and sis did when we were kids!!!) I know I am happy as my sisters have lots and lots of clothes to pass on! lol. It would have been nice to have a boy though, but not disappointed at all.

My OH asked about test or scan for Downs and doc rang a hospital in the city and got us an appointment for Thursday this week!!! A 4D scan which will give us a clear pic of babs and let us know about Downs.

He then told us that at my next appointment I would need to go for another blood test!!!!! I didn't realise you had to have more than 1!!! Hate needles. Something to do with showing whether I had had a disease called Australian disease!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the heck?????? Does anyone have any idea what he's talking about????????

And there I was, thinking that all I had to do now was sit back, relax, look after myself, see doc once a month until the time came for babs to show HER face. More tests.

Bit worried bout my blood pressure though. I am wondering whether it is down to stress. We are having a bad time at the mo and trying to sell some of our land desperately. If anyone knows of some company or other/website that is good for selling land abroad, I'd really appreciate your info. We have also started building the fence and wall that will surround our new house, whenever it gets built, OH is stressed out about it as it's costing more than we thought and it's just one thing after another, it would be nice to see some light at the end of this ever growing long tunnel.

ANYWAAAAAAAY, blah blah from me, I have a little girl growing in me, who may be taking after me as she doesn't half kick!!!! I thought I had a Kung Foo master in me!!

Hello! Glad your scan went well and congrats that you are now sure you are having a little girl!!

Blood pressure could be due to stress, I know mine had dropped quite dramatically on saturday and was told then it could be because of stress. I was told to keep eating little and often and watch out for dizzy spells.

I didnt realise we had to have blood taken more than once either! I hate needles, it took them nearly an hour to get blood out of me the first time! To be fair though it wasnt half as bad as I thought!

Anyway, best of luck for your 4d scan, im so jealous, really want one of those!!! Let us know how it goes

Im surprised your BP is low though... usually it goes up in pregnancy, because of increased circulation and the added work your body is doing. Low bp can be related to not eating/drinking enough regularly enough though.

Thanks girls. May sound weird but after talking to my mum (see other thread), I have lost my happiness and exciting feeling and now am totally worried. All I can think about is everything the doc said, low BP, this weird blood test I have to have, etc etc. At least I get to see babs on Thursday in 4D form unless of course we get more bad news there!! It's one of those weeks!!!!
