Welcome to team PINK

I just wanted to say that my blood pressure was very low in the 1st trimester but has since improved, just cut down your stress levels.I know that it's hard but don't worry that much and spend some more time relaxing...

Welcome to the pink team!

Never heard of that blood test, I did have one done at 28 weeks, but that was to check for gestational diabetes and my iron levels.

Thanks everyone.

gde78 - You know what, I wasn't feeling bad until I spoke to my mum, but feeling much better being back on the forum and just had a call from my little sis. She says my mum asked her to ask the midwife she had about my low BP!!!! Mothers!!!! Anyway, MW said it was fine, it would be good not to drop any further, but they say it's fine, so hopefully mum will be put at ease. Oh she makes me laugh!!

ANyway, sis now says, as I have a PINK bump YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH, that she and my other sis are getting a parcel together, along with some maternity clothes (OOOOOOOOHHHHHHH YES!!!!) and sending it very soon. Oh it's like Xmas!!!!

Congratulations on your baby girl!

Not sure about the tests - we have to do heaps in the UK around 16 weeks, some you have to do like total blood count and others you can opt out of (like the Downs Syndrome and Spina Bifada ones). Never heard of Australian Disease though.

Hi all

Just spoken to my friend who had a baby a month ago. Apparently I HAVE to have the test done and it is called Australia Antigen. It is called this as it was originally found in an aborigini years ago. So we learn something new everyday!!! Still don't want it but I guess I have no choice. Apparently 45 days before baby is due, the doc will request a paper with all tests done so they can prepare for babies arrival. Ok, I could say very efficient, I just don't want any more tests!

If anyone else has had this test done, can you give me info please. Thanks
