I had my 20 week scan last week and the sonographer was 75% sure that we are having a girl as there were clearly the three white lines, but as 'she' was sitting on 'her' feet she didn't get a really good look. Is this all she needed to see? Do I accept that is as accurate as they will ever be, or should I go for a second scan?

Well, that's not as accurate as it'll ever be. I got told 120%. If you want a more accurate result I'd wait untill you're 26 weeks or more and have a private scan.

I think i would want to be told there was more of a 90% chance. Imagine buying everything pink to find out it was a boy ! I would defo go for another scan if you can.

I got told 99% i'm having a girl, but she showed mt the 3 white lines!! she was looking for atleast 10mins and said theres def no dangly bits and kept showing me the lines which are her genitals! I have it on DVD (private) and cant stop watching it! I have another scan on 20th so i'll be checking again shes still a she!

I think if it was 75% i'd also try to get another scan ... anything over 90% and i would be happy. A 25% uncertainty is still quite big

We have booked a private scan for next week (22 weeks), but I might delay it a bit, so that everything is a bit bigger and hopefully clearer!!

It's so frustrating as I want to start 'pinking' everything already!

It's good to do a double check but I'd say that you don't have much head bashing to do.It's probably a girl.

I'd get a 4d scan done when your around 26/27 weeks. My LO had her legs crossed at 20 week scan so i paid for 4d scan. You could DEFINATELY see she was a girl lol. And the sonographer said he was 110% certain.
