is it dangerous?

I use my lap top everynight and rest it on my lap and close to my belly. Is it safe to use laptops with wireless internet on a regular basis.... does anyone know if it is dangerous to the LO?

The only thing I could think of is that the heat off the laptop might make your body temperature (especially if you have it on your stomach) go up? Never heard that you aren't supposed to use them though

I do it all the time, I hope it's not bad for bub, though I don't think it is, except for the temp like Vickie said.

I think this should be no problem, I've never seen any evidence of it being harmful. But here in China all the pregnant women wear these anti-radiation clothes (dresses, tops, even underwear!) supposedly to protect from computer, TV etc. radiation. Some people think I'm irresponsible for not doing so! But I'm keeping my head, as I really don't think there's much to it. Sounds more like a business trick and something actually helpful.

I don't think so...I think laptops don't have that high amount of radiation.

Your microwave and fridge have a big amount. But it's not like a pregnant woman can stay away from those!

i thought the same about mobile phones because they still emit radiation when not in use. i switch off the wireless internet when im not using it anyway and limit my amount of time on my phone, but thats just to protect myself personally- im really sad like that lol. maybe ask doctor or midwife?
