awesome present yesterday!

Yesterday my sister gave me this huge garbage bag full of her boys baby clothing. She just had twins in December, so there is so much! I think I have enough clothing for the first few months and she is going to be giving me more as her 2 boys get older.

So heres hoping my ultrasound in a couple weeks says boy... lol

Im not entirely sure what I will tell people I need though, for the baby shower. I guess wipes, bottles and soap and stuff...

Anyne have any ideas? I thought maybe if have an early baby shower we could ask for gift certificates to buy baby furniture and decorations... I dont know lol...

What are some other things I will need? Other then clothes, bottles and wipes/soap? I am planning to use washable diapers.

A car seat if you don't already have one. Here, they don't let you leave the hospital with baby if you don't have a car seat.

Yupp defo a car seat is priority. Don't forget if your using reusables nappies some still require liners and other such things. When u decide what type your going to use then they'll prob tell u what else.

Gift certificates your probs better off asking for somewhere like toys r us. They Babies r us section seems to have quite a comprehensive selection, altho seome things u can get cheaper else where. And even if u don't use the vouchers through pregnancy, think of all the xmas's your gonna have!

This is my first pregnancy so i'm still figuring out what we need and what is just a gadget. We're struggling with prams at the mo!! U thought about how your gonna feed? U need bottles and if your gonna breastfeed u might wanna express so others can feed, therefore you'll need a pump. Obviously soemthing for LO to sleep in, and don't forget something for them to sleep in during the day. We're gettin a crib in our room and a rocker for them to sleep in downstairs. Moses baskets are good for day sleeps but they only last a few months.

Anyways, hope that helps a bit!

I would want gift certificates. that way aswell they can give as what they can afford. Big things are quite expensive for some people.

ya, that is what I was thinking... Then if a couple people give us gift certificates we can buy our crib and stuff with them...

Toys R Us is a good idea, they have alot of nice cribs and things for the nursery.

Ye nothing worse than getting things you dont need and that will just go to waste and never be used when there's things you need desperately but cant afford to buy!

a baby monitor. When I get so tired from late night feedings it is nice to have a monitor to hear baby loud enough to wake me up.

The one problem with gift certificates is that some people may feel uncomfy--don't want to look cheap by putting to little on the certificate if you see what I'm saying?
