does anyone know how do you know


if your cervix is closed as i worry about this , got my mw coming out 2 morro to do my 16 week afp test . violet xx

My m/w did an internal examination and checked but only done this cause i was spotting dont think its rountine but ask your m/w xxx

they can tell on your scan, i had some spotting early on and was sent for a scan and the nurse mentioned my cervix was closed

They can do it by internal exam or by scan - I have to go in every 2 weeks for a scan to ensure that my cervix is closed, due to a procedure I had done a long time ago. Hope this helps!

I check it myself. i did last night in the bath. depends if you know what you're looking for.

I must admit I haven't checked mine since I was about 6 weeks but that's mainly cause I was so fed up of checking it every day whilst TTC, lol.
