I'm Currently Feeling: | Worrying weekend Bit worried about beanie at the mo.
Hadnt really been feeling her much since last Thursday and didnt feel her at all on Saturday so decided to call the midwife unit and see what they said.
They advised me to go down just to make sure everything was ok. Went straight there and spoke to an absolutely lovely lady who said they'd have a listen to her which should hopefully reassure me.
So.... she got the doppler out and tried to find the heartbeat. After about 5 attempts and much prodding of my belly, she looked at me and said 'ooooh, she is hiding isn't she'.
Then she decided to hook me up to one of them strap round heartbeat monitors (the same ones that are used when you are in labour to check if baby is distressed) and we still couldnt hear the heartbeat, but the beats per min did show up on the display. I was slightly reassured but sent home and told to keep a close eye on her movement.
Later that day she did have one little kick, but that was it. That was Saturday, its now Monday and I still havent felt her.
Should I go back or am I just being paranoid?

I'm Currently Feeling: | I would go back if i was you. Just to be checked and for reasurrence. I know i can go most the day without feelin my little man. Then just when im getting the number out to call he comes out of hiding and gives me a massive kick and doesnt stop then. so im sure everything will be fine. But for peace of mind for you. Saves you sitting worring all day. xxx | | | | Status: Online

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thank you Ema. I dont want them to think im a paranoid first time mum, but at the same time I want to make sure everything is ok with her.
Half of my concern is that she is usually so active, she got into a real pattern for about 4 weeks where her movements were regular, then all of a sudden, nothing!
Think I will pop down to be sure

| How many weeks are you?
My LO was really active all day everyday for weeks then about a week or so ago her movements slowed down. I still get beaten up in the evenings and at 4 in the morning but not during the day that much anymore.
Maybe yours just going through a growth spurt? Some people say their movement decrease while they're going through them. I don't know. | |

She has been so active, so much so that shes kept me awake at night several times! Its all been since Thursday last week, when in the middle of the night I woke up and honestly thought she was coming out, ever since then I can feel her pressing down but absolutely no movement. Even when I get up in the middle of the night shes not doing anything. Booked an appointment for 2pm today and midwife did say I may need to stay in for 24 hours to be monitored. It just worried me as they couldnt find her heartbeat straight away, so I wasnt really reassured.
Hope your right and shes just going through a growth spurt!

I'm Currently Feeling: | She could have just changed position so you're not feeling her so much. I didn't feel much movement on Saturday, and a friend of mine said something about it being the air pressure... we had some thunder and lighting saturday night, and thne all day yesterday she was back dancing.
I hope everything is ok | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | It's good you're going to have it checked out.One can never be too careful...
I'm not an expert on this, but I know mine only started to kick last week, she now does it a few times a day but for example yesterday she only kicked twice. So I wouldn't say that you have tons to worry about...xxx | | | | Status: Online
