this is what I found on a site.....

Many midwives and retail outlets advise against purchasing underwiring in pregnancy. The reasoning behind this advice appears to be that the rigid wire may interfere with the natural changes in size and shape of the breast during pregnancy. This may obstruct the increased blood flow or "squash" of the developing milk duct system, causing pain, discomfort and possibly mastitis.

http://www.mothercare.com/gp/node/n/...=UTF8&mcb=core

I have the t-shirt support bra in pink and white!!! They are great!! The £12 one!!
However I advise not to get the ones that come in twos in a packet!!! They did absolutely nothing for me.... or my confidence!! They looked like training bras for pre teens!!!
