I'm Currently Feeling: | the underwire sits right where you milk ducts are... apparently.
I was told this in mothercare too!
wearing underwiring can cause things to be really uncomfortable and even stop you from being able to breast feed. The lady who measured me said your not supposed to wear underwiring from 3 weeks and my obvious reply was 3 weeks!!! most ppl dont even know they're preg at 3 weeks! xx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I wouldn't worry so much about the underwire now. I don't wear one b/c it hurts me at the moment though. If you decide to b/f though, you won't want to wear one b/c they make you leak like crazy. It is seriously like the wire is just pushing milk out of you. You should maybe consider buying some adjustable nursing bras. They have hooks at the top of the cup to go bigger or smaller, and that way you can have a few to last you while pg and nursing. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I think the underwire thing is just being overly cautious. If you're wearing a bra that is properly fitted the wire is under your breasts - not on them. I certainly couldn't switch - the girls are so big to start with, without underwire I'd have to just rely on my stomach to support them - hahaha - now there's an image! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | There's no way I can give up the under-wire, my girls are just too big to start with, they would never stay up without under-wire | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Agreed, I'm going to continue to wear underwire until I start nursing at least, they hold them up better! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi ya, i gave up on underwired bras a couple of months back as even when being measured/fitted properly they just didnt feel comfy/right anyore. So i went for normal non-wired bras. Pain in the bum as i grew again around the ribs (not grew-expanded lol) and so didnt fit anymore. I only have one bra right now, but went for two crop top style pull on things as they are really comfy and have stretch in them. Luckily my boobs arent that big, so dont need tonnes of support yet. I plan on getting nursing bras at the end though for breastfeeding.
I hate bra buying normally, when not pregnant-so this has really annoyed me! Im now big around the band size but still not big in boobs so find it hard getting undies to fit comfy!

I'm Currently Feeling: | One of my friends actually suggested that I carry on wearing underwire. She's got large boobies and the underwire made sure they didn't get droopy after babies. I'm sticking with the underwire at the mo cos I have no boobs - only just gone up to a C cup - and without I look flat chested! Oh and padding! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I didnt know about this no underwire rule either! Mine have only gone up 1 size so far and im planning on breastfeeding. Im worried that without the underwire holding them up they will be facing south by the time I have my little girl!! Oh dear | | | | Status: Offline

Thanks for the tip Kerry |
