I was meant to be going, but as most companies don't let women over 28 weeks fly, I'm stuffed cos I was thinking of going in a months time, when I'll be 30 weeks

You are so right about taking hols in the Uk!!! I dont even consider it with prices as they are and the uncertainty of british weather! You can spend a fortune to spend a week in a cottage in the countryside and all it does is rain!

It is so cheap to just nip on a plane these days to europe, and the hotels are cheap too. A really cheap idea is to nip across to france with the car and stay on the north coast where the beaches are lovely, and the hotels very cheap. You can check the weather and do a last minute booking on the net whenever the whim takes you. Or even the channel islands?? But then, with the price of fuel as it is, not so cheap for you northerners!! but saying that, you could fill your tank up in france for a 1/4 of the price in the Uk! and they buy the stuff from us in the first place! Pah!

I feel a rant coming on.....better stop right now!

We just had a big holiday in California at Easter so no more foreign trips for a while. We are going to Northumberland a half term and then Dorset, The Cotswolds and The Dales over the first 3 weeks of the summer hols!
