| XKATX I feel exactly the same as you. I'm hoping my maternal instinct will kick in and once LO is here it will feel like a natural thing to do, but will be quite happy to bottle feed if I'm still freaked out. |

I've never told anyone before, as I didn't want them to judge me. Did you see the thread about the lady who was breastfeeding her daughter at the age of 8? Utterly gross - it really freaked me out and I had to turn it off!! |

I 'm hoping that when it comes to it, it is completely different to what I am expecting though.
I think I'm a bit wierd and this is really worrying me. What if I end up with a snotty midwife that can't understand my fears? I have to say, the thought of this is freaking me out more than the thought of labour. | The Midwife is meant to understand how we feel about it either way. I agree though the thought of it isn't pleasant, even though its best for the best its also a bit disturbing |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I breastfed my first two babies and will do so with my LO, however, not for as long as the others. There are many benefits to breastfeeding for both the baby and the mom. Bonding, providing more immunities to the baby, and is very helpful for getting your figure back quicker.
But, this time around I will be getting the baby on the bottle more quickly. I had a heck of a time weaning my other two. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Im planning on expressing breast milk from get go (if thats possible) simply because she's going into full time day care when shes 4 months so i want to have her used to bottles and in a routine.
if for some reason breast milk is a non starter i wont lose any sleep over it and i wont tolerate anybody berating me for using formula... as long as my little girl is happy and healthy i dont care. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm hoping I'll be able to breastfeed. XKatX, I know what you mean - I was really weirded out by the idea of BF at the start of my pregnancy, but the further along I get the more natural an idea it seems |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I think for a LOT of women it is normal to feel weird about the idea of breastfeeding. Our breasts our sooo oversexualized in the media & our society - it's hard not to feel a little weird about it. |
