sore belly button ring


the last day or two my belly button piercing as been really sore, the skin around it has gone really red and is a little bit hard so last night i decided to take it out....... now im wondering if i should but it back in as ive heard people say it will scar now and get streach marks(?) is this true? it there anyone on here whos had this problem/experience before? thanks

i dont know i'm keeping mine in so the whole stays the same size i'm scare if i take it out i will end up with a huge whole which i dont want

I've got a massive stretchmark where mine was. I took it out when i was having my 1st. Maybe get one of those plastic ones if you can.

I'm keeping mine,it still hasn't gone sore or anything but I will avoid taking it out because I dread that streched out scar...

try and use a special ring/bar. i took mine out and the hole has stretched and looks hideous

I took mine out, cos I heard if you leave it in it could work its way out (migrate) and leave more of a scar than if you took it out. Not sure if I´m gonna put it back in or not, don´t think I´ll be going around in belly baring outfits any more at my age!!!!

I have the scar up my belly button and I left mine in. I think it depends on your type of skin and who done the pericing. I scar easily and obviously the skin around it was damaged.
