Sleeping and getting comfortable

Morning Ladies

So glad it is Friday whooha!!

Wouldn't mind a bit of advice if you can help at all please...am having trouble getting comfy in bed at night. I can't seem to sleep on my right hand side as that for some reason feels really uncomfortable like my tummy is being pulled down (if that makes sense?!)

On my left side seems to be usually the comfiest and the best place to go to sleep however last night it was horrid my tummy felt awful again feeling heavy.

Do you have any advice on anything to make it more comfortable as I know you can get pillows etc but does it make a difference or is this it for sleeping now ha ha!!

Also am starting to feel baby!! it started what felt like flickering in my belly last night and all this morning I have had what feels like a little light tap underneath my belly button to the right is that normally where you would feel baby (sorry if it is stupid question!)

also apologies for the essay if you got this far thank you for reading

xxxx

yeh sounds like baby was moving congrats hun!!!

And as for the sleeping thing, sleeping on my left side is the best position Im in all day lol!!! Been getting real bad back ache so being in bed is my fave lol!!! So IM not much help with the sleeping situation!!! Im sure pregnancy pillows do work however because many pregnant woman buy them!!
What with the waking up for toilet trips and leg cramps etc etc its no good if you cant get comfortable!!

Thanks for the reply hun I know what you mean about getting up for toilets in the night!! no soon do you get comfy then you need a pee....haven't had the leg cramps yet and frankly don't really want them!! (I guess is probably not a choice is it?!!)

So glad I can feel pea too! it is really reassuring isn't it?!

Yeh definetly it reminds you that you really do have a little person growing inside you!!!
Got MW on monday so going to tell her everything... had to take my rings off really early in my pregnancy too and being a waitress my feet are swelling up badly!!! I might have to book in with the GP!!! But Im pretty sure there is nothing they can give you whilst your pregnant!!! which sucks as a half to 3 quarters of all pregnant women complain about back aches!!
Hope you have a decent night sleep soon.... toilet trips have started to die down for me *touch wood*!!! Only once last night.... well of what I can remember lol

Hello!

I got one of them maternity pillows and it was the best thing ive ever bought! Was having awful trouble sleeping but now i rest my bump on the pillow and sort of chuck my leg over the bottom bit of it and thats it - a great nights sleep!

Sounds like its baby you're feeling, thats how the first movements of my LO felt! Congrats!

well make sure you push for a physio appointment I had back pain before I got pregnant but as soon as I got pregnant I got GP to refer me he said would be a good idea as they can tell you about movements and what is good and what is not so it can help.

Hope you get it sorted hun and remember don't take no for an answer!!

Make sure you do hun if you get no joy from your midwife push your GP to get you an appointment especially with the NHS waiting list you may not get to see someone for 4 weeks but at least get the ball rolling. good luck sweets xx

They are definitely worth it! Mine was from Argos, I think it was about £20 so quite reasonable! I think the same ones are about £35 in Mothercare so definitely shop around!

Its so lovely feeling them move, I can still remember feeling beanie for the first time like it was yesterday! Still brings a smile to my face!
