Just ignore them! You have every right to go down to get checked over if you are worried about something - and the earlier you do it, the more reassured you will feel. The irony is, that if you had left it and there had been a problem, you would have been told that you should have come in earlier. The midwife was probably just stressed or something, but shouldn't have taken it out on you.

As for that annoying woman in the reception - what a ridiculous thing to say about a fellow pregnant woman. It doesn't matter how old you are when you have a baby, you can still be well informed and prepared.

How rude! My SIL is younger than me and has 2 kids, and this is my first at 37 but it seems things change from month to month with pregnancies and she knows stuff I don't and I know stuff she doesn't because I'm going through it all now! Don't take notice of ignorant biatches like this. As for the midwife, I think they get so uppitty about things, but I bet they wouldn't if it was their own pregnancy they were worried about. They just have access to 24 hour pregnancy care! Don't let them get you down
