Hiya,

I noticed that a few people in 3rd tri seem to have 'text buddies' to keep bnb updated if they're unable to use the site.

I did tell Derek that I'd have to show him how to use the site, so that he can update you all if I go into hospital. However, he's not very aux fait with the whole computer thing....

Has anyone else decided to do anything like this... or is bnb really just taking over my life !!!!!????

Spooky - I was discussing this with my husband last night! He is an IT expert, but for some reason, the thought of him posting on this site sent him pale!
I was thinking about the text buddy thing, but how do you it? You can't pair up with people with close dates to you, or you mught end up in hospital at the same! That'll be no good!
Perhaps ask the 3rd Tri-ers how they did it?

My hubby has already signed up to this site but has never posted. I told him that whenever anything happens and i can't get to the computer he'd have to come on and let you girlies know. He now thinks i'm crazy so not sure if he would actually do it on not.

I was wondering this as well My OH has no clue when it comes to computers Unless it the xbox or something. Was going to ask my mum, But she the director of her own company and is always all over the place so would never have time to post anything lol xxx

I'm gonna try to arrange for my sister to post something but not quite sure if thats gonna be possible,since she lives in a town about 45 minutes from mine...
Although,if it's serious,she'll probably come here to the hospital,so it won't be a problem.
So *if* something is to happen,I don't know how I'll be able to arrange for someone to post on here.I guess,my friends wouldn't mind but I would feel a bit stupid asking them to go to my apartmant just to go online to post a message...

Other forums have got that as a sticky topic as well! And lots and lots of text buddies there! You can have more than one, you can have some close to your own date and some who are behind or ahead. It's good when you can just sometimes text someone when you can't come online or when something important happens! x

I have a text buddy, will just have Stan send her a quick MSN (no cell phone) message before we leave. I figure it's easier for him that way because my MSN automatically logs in and he wouldn't know where to put anything on the forum, and I doubt he's going to be thinking very well when I go into labor

Vickie,thats actually a great idea!MSN is much easier to use than posting here...

and this never occured to me...

But it has occured to me now that I have to find an MSN buddy...
