Another moan - iron tablets and constipation!

When the doctor said that I was slightly anaemic, he prescribed me iron tablets. When he said that it probably would cause a bit of constipation, I thought, 'well, it probably won't be that bad.'

- I was wrong!!!!

After going three days and only being able to have a very small poo (sorry tmi), I was out shopping with my mum and my stomach felt so bunged up and icky. After I got home, I managed to 'go' and feel much better.

Anyone got any tips for constipation?

I´m on iron tablets as well, think I go about every 2 days!!! (Sorry if TMI but it´s about to get worse). The first time I went it terrified me cos it was jet black!!! (Due to the iron tablets), now I´m used to it!!!
