Lol no good shops in Luton im afraid. Please dont put urself through the stress of visiting Luton. I'll worry about you

I told my mum what the young mums club said & she went sooo pale. It makes her feel dead ancient as genunine nanny & not even 40 yet lol!!

I asked them very nicely if they could make an exception. I explained how I dont know anyone here & its really getting me down. No can do they said, wait for your ante-natel classes.

Oh wow a whole 3 classes that arent until July!!

Stupid really. I thought they called anyone a 'young' mum until your 30's now because of careers etc. (Not meaning to be rude to anyone 30+)

I actually asked my Dr just yesterday and in my area you are not classed as an older mum until you are 40+!!! I thought I'd be an older mum as I'll be 34 when I have mine but no!!

I think its pretty harsh you were told you were too old.

Personally I'd prefer to be in a mixed age group of mums, I'm 20 also and I dont know if I'd necessairly want to be in a group specifically for mothers who are classified 'young', it just seems a bit, restricting.

That said, I've already had my first 'tut tut' from a 30+ career mum about being too young! I bit my tongue on returning a comment about her being too old, because, I dont believe there is 'too old'... but... it would have been nice to get my own back!
