How can people tell that at this stage???

Last night my Best friend even tho i love her, she p!ssed me right off.

Went to see her and her 2 kids(my godsons)

Finley who's 4 said 'wow auntie Ema is there really a baby in your tummy?'

I said 'yeah but he is really small at the mo' Because you can hardly tell im preg. Think baby lying to the back.

Then my Best friend Said 'No but i can tell your going to be massive and have big strech marks all down your belly!' 'Kyle (myOH) will think he's with a whale by the end of it'

I thought to myself WTF!! I know im going to be bigger than what i am now but how the hell do you know im going to have all these things??

Then she called her mum to come look at me. Then she went to her mum 'OMG aint Ema Massive for her stage?!?'

Her mum even turned round and said 'Kirst what you speaking about she's tiny you can barely tell she preg'

I dont know if she's jealous or something but I just dont understand why she all of a sudden decided to try and make me feel bad about how i look.

Anyone else found that even the closest of people can be B!tches???

Thats awful!!

I have found that people dont think twice about calling you "Fatty!"

I'm 16 weeks so I'm not massive!!! I've only put on about 6 pound & its all on my belly. Some people are so rude & just dont think aalthough I dont think they mean any harm but it doesn't mean it hurts any less!

You poor thing hun, I cant believe shes said that! Ive found some people can be really bitchy. My SIL (who i dont get on with anyway to be fair) is very jealous as i have a huge bump, which im really proud of, whereas she isn't showing at all. (altho she is nearly 3 months behind me).
We have booked a big holiday for all the family next year and she is constantly saying that i'll have to cover up because i'll be covered in stretch marks and will have saggy boobs and skin whereas she will get her figure back quickly because shes so small now. Total BITCH! I just let her comments go over my head, all im worried about is being a great mum to my little one, not what im gonna look like after. Try to ignore her and dont let her know how much it upset you, i find that sometimes if people think theyve got to you, it can spur them on to be nasty even more.

I bet you will have a gorgeous baby bump

It definately sounds like jealousy to me. I bet she didn't really mean to hurt your feelings - but I'd have been pretty shocked if someone who was meant to be my friend had said that stuff too.

Thank you hun. I am about the same size as her to start with (size 10 - 12) but whereas i ballooned from the start, shes stayed small, which is why shes saying im gonna have stretchmarks etc! And as for the boobs....shes just jealous coz mine have gone huge and hers have stayed small!

I never respond to her comments, my baby was made because we wanted a child, hers was made because she was jealous of the attention i was getting from being pregnant!

God us women can be bitches! lol

Em,

She is probably just jealous. Some people are soooo competitive about pregnancy. Your friend was probaby much bigger than you at that stage and wanted to make you feel bad about it. My best mate is always comparing me and her now she knows I am pregnant. When I complain about my lack of a noticeable bump, she says things like, 'oh I was much smaller than you at that stage...people did not even notice that I had a bump till I was about 28 weeks!'

The only thing is - the competition probably gets worse when the baby is born. Some people love to go on about how much a genius their child is and say things like, 'oh your baby is not talking yet...my Cedric was reading Shakespeare for the Royal Shakespeare Company at five months' etc etc

Just ignore her! She has just got a touch of the green eyed monster.
