I think I might be having a ....

...boy!

I am not sure - and the sonographer wasn't giving anything away (they are not allowed to tell you on the NHS in Aberdeen), but at my ultrasound today, she did a back shot of my baby's legs and I am sure I saw something between them.

It could have been a shot of the umbilical chord at a weird angle - but you never know!! When I asked the sonographer, 'did I just see something there in that shot?' She just smiled and said, 'Oh, I don't know - I wasn't looking at that point.'

People sometimes only think they saw something.
My friend thought she saw a boy bit but her sonographer told her it was actually an arm!She ended up having a girl...

I know what you mean Nicky. It is really hard to know what anything is on an ultrasound if you aren't trained. Even though I want the baby's sex to be a surprise, it still intrigued me when I 'thought' I saw something on the ultrasound.

However, I am not about to rush out and buy lots of blue things just yet!

I am from Aberdeen too! I had a similar experience with the sonographer. She started off by saying 'there's your baby's face/legs/feet' and then suddenly stopped stared at something and then started saying 'and there is HIS heart/kidneys etc'. I then asked if she was trying to tell me something but she just laughed but winked at me! Was she trying to tell me something? I guess when beanie arrives I will find out!

Love your username by the name - I would love to name a wee girl Poppy!

Hiya, I'm in Falkirk and they don't tell you here either. I got mine done privately. These scan in aberdeen:

£75 for a gender scan, which is £15 cheaper than what I paid, tut!!

AAwww I'm in Livingston & I dont get a 2nd scan

I dont want to know the sex but I just want to see my little bub again. Might go for a private scan as there is a clinic just down the road.
