Another problem

I have just slipped over on laminate floor onto my side. dont feel pain in my stomach. i am rhesus negative blood type and was wondering if anyone knew how bad a fall had to be to need to anti d injection? please help xxx

i am very sorry about your fall ...could you call your doctor to have thing check up ?

Yip you need to tell your MW or hosp you fell. I fell @ 16weeks & even though my legs were just bruised I had to get antiD injection just as a precaution. Hope all is well with you. Rest & Take Care

sorry to hear about your fall hun, I'm RH neg too and I'm pretty sure you only need the anti d if yours and the babys blood mixes but if you have any doubts just give your midwife or nhs direct a call and they'll be able to tell you what exactly to do x

Go to casualty to get checked over. I'm rh neg and was told that any fall would need to be checked out - just make yourself feel happier by going xx xx

thanks elles i will phone my midwife now! do you think i should go a and e if i cant get hold of her?

Hi, sorry to hear youve just fallen. Im rhesus neg too and im afraid to tell you that if you cause any abdominal trauma you will need the anti-d injection just as a precaution. I would give your local maternity unit a call and see what they say.
